Ohhh nooo. Actually, Chicago has this "No Walmart" debate, raging for years now. Nope, we do not have one. But I wouldn't go anyway. Although I do go to Target, even after that political hoo-hah revolving around it.

the only reason i go to walmart is because that's the only place i can buy my pre-paid phone cards. i get the best deal on this plan, as well.

$30 for 1000 talk minutes, 1000 texts, 30MB web access.

if there was a comparable plan anywhere else, i would have done it. trust me.

i am very happy that you DON'T have a walmart.

Hmmm, looks like I was wrong. There seems to be a new Walmart actually IN the Chicago zip code! When did that happen! It's nowhere near me, but, still. DEVIL! *giggle*

You understand that I'm not judging you for giving Walmart your business, right? I identify with you by being a Target gal, totally. Our country is built on this type of capitalism and a LOT of change must occur before we have enough reasonable recourse, I think.

i know you're not judging me; there's no need, i do enough of that on my own :P

i never would have dropped my iPhone had i not gotten laid off and had to scale way back. this phone is slow and cumbersome, but it does the bare necessities i need. :)

I hear you. I've been considering a pay-as-you-go option, myself. I'm still using my TMobile account, but it's costly for one person on a very limited budget and I don't "need" it. I'm not glued to those services as much as I am being online and having access to my blog and friends and family and entertainment! I've even considered getting a land line again and ridding myself of the cell phone altogether.
