the month of february

i used to hate february. well, HATE might be too strong a word. i used to very much dislike february. my least favorite month of the year. because you know, cold, wet, short. mid-winter sort of. but now? i've found that it is one of my favorite months of the year. because you see for certain more daylight every day. it is such sweet relief to me to have passing darkness of winter and the coming of spring. oh, sigh. oh, thank you so much for spring just around the corner.

also, there is almost always a brief few days of very mild weather, such as we had yesterday. i wore a short sleeved t-shirt yesterday (under my cold morning coat) and it was fine, indeed.

i remember one february where we had like two days of 70 degree weather. buds got coaxed and tricked. everyone was saying OMG WE'RE HAVING A DROUGHT IT HASN'T RAINED IN TWO WEEKS OMG

i was like, calm the fuck down. this is the pacific northwest, it's going to rain again. trust me.
we had one of the wettest springs on record.

anyway, yeah.

sometimes i call Mu Ch'i, mister. but mostly, buddy-girl. or buddy. or smoochers.


i have been living a cash existence for the past five years; no credit cards or payments other than a few medical things that have been paid off. i applied for, and got, a credit card this week. i am buying myself a new iMac for my birthday. i bought myself an iMac for my birthday six years ago. this one might be my last computer, depending on how long i live. who knows how long that will be? none of us knows.

so today i am picking up my new iMac.

which i simply love and adore but i alr3eady have four six strings and a bass guitar but nothing as lovely and expensive as this sweet thing. perhaps down the road apiece, but not now.



i seem to be chatty this morning. no, all this is always going through my head, i just decided to sit down and write it out today.

4 hrs down and still no luck in figuring out how to share a garageband project with a bandmate. It is major fail.
