(no subject)

It's been very cold. And very windy. I don't like the wind. The cold will remain for a while longer, and later this morning, moisture will blow in causing snow. I hope the job I will be on will be cut short when it begins to accumulate, because snow here is not like snow in other places; it is very wet and slick and driving is hazardous. And it seems that no one can control their vehicle, so it's a crap shoot as to whether you're going to get banged into.

Anyway...



Rocky's asked us to play again st paddy's day weekend, march 15, Saturday night. We're putting together a set list, but I feel listless and am beginning to feel like I don't want to do it. In fact, today I think I'm going to cancel.

I'm trying to roll with it as best I can, but I just want to try to come out of winter unscathed, and it is such, such,




a chore to want to do anything but the bare essentials. I dislike winter so very much. I dislike dark so very much. I dislike cold so very much. Cold and snow and ice are dangerous. A hot day is mostly just an uncomfortable hot day. Mostly a hot day is not treacherous.


I guess, yeah.

Holy, and immortal one, have mercy on us.

Lull




I put some food out for the brave at heart



If you expand and look closely,
you will see a champ of a chickadee on the
left of the feeder hanging from the tree limb,
bracing its babydoll self from the elements, and getting a meal.
The sweetheart is just a dark spot in the pic. And it's back for more sustenance.

I wish I could hold it and stroke its head with my thumb
and kiss its beak and murmur sweet lovings to it. But it is a
bird among birds, and not a pet.



Still lots of downfall. Three day weekend. Yay.
