my 3G iPhone became dated almost as soon as i bought it a year and a half ago
:P
i'm just beginning to get into Gibson's rhythm. it takes me a while to adjust from one book to another; everyone has their own style, etc
thanks for the anticipation of a good read, i only came across him by reading a review of tattoo girl. he was mentioned. looks like there is lots by him to check into.
For me, when Gibson is "on" I end up finishing a book or trilogy and wondering what the hell just happened, but not caring because whatever happened was really magnificent.
I've read his first three books (The Cyberpunk Trilogy: Neuromancer, Count Zero, Mona Lisa Overdrive) half a dozen times and still have no clue but don't give a half a damn about not fully "getting it". The last book in the Bridge series (Virtual Light, Idoru, All Tomorrow's Parties) is one of my all time favorite novels and, I think, among the five best pieces of writing I've ever read.
The only things I've read of his that I didn't care for were The Difference Engine and Spook Country.
