about to depart for Meek's Cutoff at the Laurelhurst

when I was oh, 10 years old, fourth grade, I LOVED reading/learning about the pioneers and the Oregon Trail. LOVED IT.

i'm feeling decidedly grade-school-ish this summer fo4r several reasons, and this film only adds to it.

happy anniversary to me

got an email for a SIT DOWN interview (will be the second one) today on the 1year 8month anniversary of being unemployed.

while I have finally begun to enjoy being off work, something has to break. I can't continue on unemployment much longer and my roof leaks and the bathroom is in dire need of repair so I seriously need some influx of cash more than what's been coming in.

Well how was Meek's Cutoff, and when do you go in for the interview?

I loved Meek's Cutoff. I read reviews by folks who said it dragged on into no ending at all. I see their point, but I disagree; at least *I* didn't find it that way at all. It was slow paced for sure, and the ending could be seen as ambiguous. I, however, saw it as having a clear ending. One could argue either side.

In the job email she asked if next Thursday or Friday was good for me for an interview. I replied that either would be fine and to let me know which, what time, and where. There has been no response so far. So, who knows?
