Irish twins
Jan. 24th, 2016 06:37 amToday is sis P's birthday. We're the same age for six weeks.
When we were young she always said "I'm the same age as you are now."
A running joke, as the older folks we are, nowadays I always say to her, "you're as old as I am now."
I was curious about the origin and I guess the term used to be pejorative but is no longer?
It certainly isn't meant to be, here.
Anyway...
Spin left San Diego midweek for the desert to hang out there for a while. When he's had his fill of quiet and solitude he'll head back to the beach. He sent these pics to me yesterday.

The man

We had band practice yesterday instead of today. Steve is a big Patriots fan, being from the area originally, and the game begins today at the same time we normally practice.
The boys

Brian is looking up the chords to Bowie's song, Blue Jean. Steve's trying it out.
Yes, we're going to give it a go, as tribute. Steve is going to attempt vocals. It will be done our way, of course; a way stripped down cover of the song. It will be unexpected to anyone who has seen us play.
I like throwing things out there for people to go wtf they're covering this tune!?
We already do an Eagles cover, Victim Of Love, and though it isn't a Glenn Frey tune, it has a more special meaning to us now.
I worked every day last week for the first time in months. It was a Mudfest but it's work.
Happy Sunday
